Democrats continue to disregard 10th Amendment rights as they promote health care bill
State leaders push to maintain state sovereignty
Kansas State Republican legislators are demonstrating their strong support of the Tenth Amendment as the Democrat-lead federal government continues to work tirelessly toward extending its power over the states through the Democrats’ health care bills.
Legislators noted the importance of the Tenth Amendment last Thursday when top leaders in the state House and Senate requested that Attorney General Steve Six pursue an investigation of the deal-making between Sen. Ben Nelson, D-Neb., and Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev. Nelson agreed to vote for the health care bill after Reid provided Nebraska with a permanent Medicaid exemption.
