Superintendents' complaints block second stage of audits in apparently wasteful districts
Audit curtailed after financial inefficiencies identified in some schools
A legislative post audit report released Wednesday revealed that some Kansas schools appear to be inefficiently using taxpayer dollars for "non-instructional" purposes — including administrative costs, operational costs, maintenance, non-teaching staff positions, transportation and food service for students.
