Mary has spent more than two decades working in real-time news environments for Knight-Ridder, Reuters and Bridge Financial Information. Mary's vision of providing Kansans with an independent online news source is a synthesis of her media experience and her background in software engineering. She is a past member of the Kansas House of Representatives and currently sits as a member of the Kansas Senate. She earned an MBA with a focus in finance.
Phil LaCerte
Phil LaCerte is a veteran Kansas City-area newspaper reporter and editor. He's also served as press secretary for a U.S. Congressman and as a public relations consultant for a prominent Kansas agency.
Holly Smith
Holly Smith graduated from Kansas State University with degrees in print journalism and political science. She formerly wrote for the Kansas Public Telecommunications Service, K-State Collegian and has written and reported for radio and television news.

Clint spent time working as a software engineer for the Java Reuters Channel team and was also a long time employee of both Knight-Ridder and Reuters, but other than playing a lot of ping pong no one is quite sure what he did for them.
Columnist and editorial consultant: Denis Boyles
The author of the occasional "Monday Monday" column for Kansas Liberty, Denis is a journalist and editor with more than 30 years of experience working and writing for national magazines, newspapers and online publications. He is also the author of more than a dozen books, including "Superior Nebraska," a memoir and survey of Midwestern political and social life (Doubleday 2008).

Candy is a former Democratic state representative from Leavenworth and a reformed journalist.
Columnist: Caleb Stegall
Caleb is a lawyer and writer from Perry, Kansas. His book on the history of prairie populism in Kansas is forthcoming from ISI Books in 2009.
Columnist: Bill Wyckoff
Bill Wyckoff is president of Labette Bank, a community bank with locations throughout southeast Kansas. He lives on a farm outside Altamont, and has written for The Wall Street Journal. A graduate of Kansas State University with an MBA from Southern Illinois University, he enjoys collecting antique John Deere tractors and driving his hemi orange Dodge Challenger.
